Element Info
First things first, Tosh Townend is now pro. He has two boards out at this time, his Tosh "Welcome" board and his first ever Element pro series board in the newest "Ecotone" line. Be sure to check them out on the wall of your local shop. In other Tosh news, he just finished an ankle surgery that will basically be giving him a new ankle.. new pro, new ankle. He'll be back, stronger than ever, before you know it. The Element team, back from Australia after a two week tour, just the other day found their long lost team member, Kenny Hughes. He had exteneded his stay so as to absorb as much good livin' as possible in Bondai Beach, his favorite place on earth. He'll be very busy filming a part for the upcoming DC video. PJ Ladd has been on a filming frenzy for a new video coming out featuring his name in the title, "PJ Ladd's Wonderful Horrible Life". It is coming at you from the Coliseum Shop boys out of Boston, and it will be hot. Should be out some time in April. In other Element movie news, Bam Margera has been editing his new movie called Haggard, expected out some time soon. It is supposed to come out prior to the "Jackass" movie that they will soon start filming for. Both are going to be big time movies. Unfortunately, Bam is also temporarily on the injured reserve list with a torn hamstring he got trying to varial heel a 12 stair, directly after getting off a hell flight back from LA. He is going to be stronger than ever though, completely focused on skating this summer. Colt Cannon is busy, as always, shooting a ton of photos and getting it all on film. For what, well, we'll soon see... Billy Pepper, Element's longest standing pro, here since day one, is now celebrating his 10 year Anniversary with the company. You can expect to see some visuals correlating to this special occasion. Speaking of special visuals, Element has just released a rendition of Natas Kaupas SMA Panther graphic. I must say I think it looks amazing, not to mention the great memories it spurred from riding that graphic back in the day. Reese Forbes has a new signature color way coming out from Nike. It looks sick and is great to skate in. Fortunately, Reese and I share the same shoe size so I can get some from his private shoe stock. Jake Rupp is doing his best to prepare for a great Spring planting season after the cold winter in Maryland. He is one with the earth on his family farm. Jake will hopefully be making an appearance on the West Coast around the spring after he plants his crops. I am still in awe that Jeremy Wray doesn't have email. A recent addition to Element is Liz Lurie, Marketing Coordinator. She has helped make my life a lot easier and I find myself thanking her daily, thanks Liz. Keep an eye out for the upcoming 411VM "Day in the Life" with the Element team while on tour in Australia.
